Introduction

Bunko is the reading app of my dreams.

Background

Two reading apps that I used to use shutdown. So I decided to build my own to have complete control and so I never have to switch to another app ever again. With Bunko, I’m looking to replace/optimize how I read articles, newsletters, papers, and even books. I have a ton of ideas for Bunko and I can’t wait to share this with the world.

Timeline

September 18, 2025: bunko.app is up!

September 21, 2025: Set up subscription form and mailing list to send product updates. Got over 170 signups in the first few days!

October 14, 2025: Bunko v0.1.0 - Initial Release 🎉

October 24, 2025: Bunko v0.2.1-alpha

October 27, 2025: Sent the first product update to mailing list. Few unsubscribes but open rate is currently at 44%!
